Charging Process for Orders Placed Through Stripe Cards and PayPal

This article answers the queries: 

• When placing an order does the customer get charged up-front or a pre-authorization is placed for both Stripe Cards and PayPal?
• If it is pre-auth, in which instance the amount is captured?

Information

• Currently, customers get charged up-front (also known as hard charged). There is an option that can be toggled to act on Charge on First Ship.
